With presidential politics in full flare, it is interesting to note recent activity in Puerto Rico. From the March GOP activity on the island of Puerto Rico for the primaries, to the 1st presidential visit to the island in over 50 years (2011 by President Obama). Here are a few questions for you; test your knowledge.

Are Puerto Ricans American citizens?
The answer is yes.

Since there were primaries in Puerto Rico, can Puerto Ricans vote?
The answer is no. However they do have 20 delegates which do count toward the election.

Is Puerto Rico a country?  Or Is it a state?
The answer is niether. It is actually a commonweath, owned by the U.S..

Who governs Puerto Rico?
Both the U.S. and Puerto Rico, depending on the area of government.

Confused?  We'd like to share a few links and short video clips to help understand this relationship better.
